Editing Web values. Negative positions move up.
This site began as an attempt to build a 2010s-era Tumblr blog to share photos in a now less conventional way. Instagram began to feel tired, and I was looking for an outlet to set these photos out into the universe and expect nothing back. Posted for posterity.
I shoot with a Fujifilm X100V because it lets me decide how a photograph should feel before I take it. Custom film recipes that determine the color, texture, and character of an image can be programmed directly into the camera. The work happens up front; then, with one click, the camera produces a distinctive photograph that is print-ready. OneShot.
As a professional and a parent of young children, I don’t have hours to spend adjusting photos in Lightroom. The ability to produce a high quality image straight out of camera is a game changer. In a world of a trillion cell phone photos, I value the distinctive character that the X100V gives each photo.
